Contemporary Art Museum (CAM)

Raleigh, NC

Renovations to this 100-year-old warehouse were completed in 2011. Existing steel roof trusses were reinforced to support new, heavy roof top units. We teamed with Clearscapes in Raleigh to provide structural modifications and engineering for the new iconic roof-entry structure, working within a tight $2.8 million construction budget.

The overall design mix of old and new is a perfect blend for a contemporary art museum. And this project has earned an impressive list of regional and statewide architectural awards. (See Awards page.)
