“Curveball” at Nationals Baseball Stadium

Washington, DC

Curveball is composed of thirty 6'-8'' diameter baseballs (polished stainless spheres) which hang off the two parking decks forming the main entrance into the Nationals Baseball Stadium. As one enters the stadium, Curveball expresses the central drama of the game of baseball, as if you are standing at home plate: a sinking fast pitch comes at you from the left, and a hit ascends into the sky to the right.
