We are excited to announce the opening of the Mayton Inn. A "Georgian-style hotel" located in Cary, North Carolina, the Mayton Inn will be the newest addition to a growing and thriving area in the heart of historic downtown Cary. Working with the owners, Deanna and Colin Crossman, and lead architect David Arneson with Center Studio Architecture, Lysaght & Associates designed the structure to house 45-rooms, a full restaurant and bar, library, lounge, luxury outdoor terraces, full gym and spa - just to name a few. Currently under construction by Bridgepoint Construction Services out of Durham, the project is nearing completion and looks great.

With 4 floors and roughly 13,000 sf per floor, the Mayton Inn was designed using steel frame and composite concrete slabs. To maximize storage and floor space, a full basement with concrete basement walls around the building footprint were selected, and a full steel frame at each floor and the roof for maximum space and HVAC allowances. Interior CMU full height shafts allow access for stairs and laundry, and exterior brick masonry work designed by Center Studio Architecture that will align with the historic fabric of downtown Cary. Although the structure may be something only engineers get excited about, the Mayton Inn provided the opportunity to use almost all structural components in one project: cast-in-place concrete, CMU (concrete masonry units), steel, composite concrete and steel structural slabs, interior and exterior timber framing, brick veneer, and light-gage steel framing.

Congratulations to Deanna and Colin Crossman, Center Studio Architecture, Bridgepoint, Geotechnologies, the town of Cary, and the entire team! Hope to see you at the grand opening! > Welcome to the Mayton Inn.
